I ordered these cots for camp-ins at the museum I work in. They are quite heavy to lug around, but are very sturdy, easy to set up, and actually really comfortable. They are also much larger than I thought they would be. Not skimpy at all.

This review is based on actual use on Block Island, RI in a Boy Scout Campground.
Summary - The design has a fatal flaw in the hinge that locks the cot open. I do not recommend the purchase of this cot.
Background - I purchased two of these for "Car Camping" with the Boy Scouts. I purchased one for my son and one from myself. My son opted to not use his, so my review is based on the first one I pulled put of the box. I weigh 225 and am 6'4" tall. I am an experienced camper, backpacker, and hiker.
Out of the Box - The box was adequate for shipping, but is not of the quality I would keep to store the item. Internally, the cot comes in a carrying sleeve that was adequate for storage and transportation. The cot looked nice at home and was heavy, but since this was for car camping, the weight was not an issue.
Set-up - The cot was expanded within a four man tent upside down and flipped over for use. The set-up was fast and easy.
Use - There is a hinge at the head that holds the cot taught while in use. After the cot was flipped and the legs were placed, I noticed that he head was sagging without any weight on it. I flipped back over and found that the metal hinge was bent. Worse, It was spot riveted and not replaceable, so even when I got home there was no way to fix it. Because of this, I slept with my head at the foot. This was not a problem, but the foot area had a sag.
Comfort - The cot supported me both in length and weight. It was comfortable and if not for the hinge quality, would have been a good purchase.
Conclusion - I returned both of these cots due to the hinge quality. I feel if this weak pointed can be fixed, this would be a good cot. Until then, I recommend you do not purchase this cot.

Very happy with purchase. Was quite apprehensive when I bought two of these online. I needed a couple of cots for a mountain cabin that could be stored under a bed or in a closet, could be set up and taken down quickly, and that was sturdy and comfortable. Honestly, I didn't have high hopes having tried a bunch of cots at REI and other sporting goods stores. The cots I demo'd were either comfortable and sturdy, but took a lot of time and effort to set up or they set up quickly, but weren't comfortable. These Kamp-Rite Kwik-Cots set up in under a minute with very little effort and are extremely comfy! They seem very durable as well and believe thay should last awhile. Also, they fold up to less than 7 inches wide and easily slide conveniently under a bed and out of the way. Nice storage pocket under cot to keep a flashlight or sweater in as well. Happy with purchase!
